Job Description
  • Development and maintenance of our Disaster Prevention applications
  • Development and maintenance of weather and disaster prevention systems for internal and external use
  • Weather Forecasting services
Application Requirements
  • You are a qualified meteorologist or are studying to become one.
  • Have basic knowledge of weather and disaster prevention/management
  • Have basic knowledge of geographic information systems
  • The ability to program in one or more of the following languages
Welcome Skills and Experience
  • Have qualifications as a Disater Prevention expert
  • Have worked in Weather Forecasting
  • Have experience in developing mobile apps (React Native)
  • Have knowledge of web map libraries such as Mapbox, OpenLayers, Leaflet, etc.
  • Have good knowledge of georeferenced data such as Shapefiles, GeoJSON, Vector Tiles, etc.
  • Have knowledge of how to process large volumes of images and video efficiently.
Monthly income from ¥400,000
  • Determined in accordance with our internal policies, taking into account performance and ability.
  • Includes a fixed overtime allowance of 20 hours.

Permanent Staff (3 month evaluation period)

Tokyo HQ (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo)

Working Hours
Flextime system (no core time)
  • Standard working day of 8 hours
  • You may be asked to work at a specified date and time, if you have meetings or work commitments.
Twice yearly (from the second year onwards)
determined by the performance of the previous year.
